The Land of True Gold is Sonamarg.
Sonamarg is a popular destination for both tourists and hikers and serves as the base camp for the KGL trek. It is conveniently located near the serene Thajiwas glacier in the Kashmir valley at a height of 2730 metres. You can rest and take a trip to the adjacent Shitkadi Bridge for acclimatisation after arriving at Sonamarg.
The view of the village of Shitkadi
By 9 am, we will depart from the campsite and cross a road to the trek's beginning location. The routes are clearly defined and gradually climb in elevation from the starting location. The trail opens up to vast meadows painted in a bright green hue around ten minutes into the hike. Don't forget to turn around once you get to the meadow area. Shitkadi, a lovely village on the Sindh River's banks, is visible. The untamed Kashmiri architecture combines with the river's movement to create a beautiful scene.

The First Vantage Point is Nichnai Pass. At eight in the morning, we'll leave the campsite and travel 11 kilometres in six hours. Small boulder sections, modest ascents, and simple descents are all included in the first 3 km of the routes. The tracks become progressively thinner, forming ridges that make me dizzy as we move along the river stream. The fun aspect for the
The second vantage point is at Gadsar Pass.
The pathways leading from Kishansar Lake ascend and become a sharp ridge. From the bottom to the top, the entire trail is visible. It resembles a delicate pencil line scratched into the hard surfaces of rocks and mud. To get to the pass, we spend two hours going along the ridge. Midway through the ridge part, you can observe the twin lakes' hue shift from an emerald green to a brilliant blue. Up until you get to the pass, you can see this. Consider striking a posture, as the panorama that greets you at the top of the pass will astound you with its beauty.
